About the event
Come with us on a voyage, as we explore, in the Italo-Australian context, the history and cultural conventions associated with the glory box and wedding traditions; the phenomena of the proxy bride and migration.
Be entertained by the Italian Folk Ensemble as it weaves its traditional Italian folk music throughout the presentation of the 'Italian Glory Boxes of Love' by Laura Di Martino and Claudia Callisto. We hope that the songs sung in their respective dialects and authentic style, will fill your hearts with inspiration and admiration for the courage and strength of the protagonists in these stories.
