About the event
Low Pay Don’t Pay! adapted from Can’t Pay Won’t Pay is a riotous political farce by Nobel Prize-winning Italian playwright Dario Fo, one of Italy’s most celebrated and influential theatrical voices. Written in 1974, the play remains strikingly relevant today, combining outrageous comedy with sharp observations about the cost of living, inequality, and the pressures faced by ordinary working people. Presented at Fogolar Furlan Club Inc, this production celebrates the energy, humour and rebellious spirit of Italian theatre. Fast, funny and full of heart, the production is a wonderful festival experience bringing audiences together through laughter while showcasing the enduring brilliance of one of Italy’s great modern playwrights.
